Meet at MacBride Museum

Located on the Whitehorse Waterfront within walking distance of downtown
hotels and shops, the MacBride Museum of Yukon History is the perfect
venue to host your business meeting, cocktail reception or catered dinner.

The Museum can provide coffee and tea, or bar service. Ask for our list of qualified caterers and musicians to make your event special.

The following venues are available for rent:

Taylor & Drury Room

Taylor & Drury Room

Named for Yukon’s pioneering merchants, this 674-square-foot log
room located off of the Museum’s foyer has no match for atmosphere
or acoustics. Add the front foyer to this rental and increase the capacity of a standing reception by 25.
Capacity: 18-36 seated with tables; 40 seated lecture style; 50 standing reception

The Lower Gallery

Lower Gallery at MacBride Museum

This 1,700-square-foot room encompasses the Yukon’s Hockey History and Jim Robb’s Colourful Five Percent displays. It features a floor-to-ceiling photograph of mining on Eldorado Creek during the Klondike Gold Rush and cases of unique artifacts, which can be moved to the side to accomodate tables and chairs.
Capacity: 40 seated with tables; 80 seated lecture style; 100 standing reception

The Gold to Government Gallery

Your event will go down in history in the Museum’s new building. Guests will be
awed by the gold display, the walk-in Taylor & Drury shop and the old fashioned confectionary. This gallery also features a Gold Rush-era saloon that can be used
as a functioning bar.
Capacity: 50 standing recepetion

Museum Courtyard

Host an event everyone will remember in the Museum’s 2,600-square-foot outdoor courtyard, bordered by Engine 51, the North-West Mounted Police cabin and the Telegraph office, one of the oldest original buildings in Whitehorse. This venue includes use of the log building.

Bartending Services

Wine Glasses

The MacBride Museum allows the serving of alcohol at events. Liquor permits must be obtained from Yukon Liquor Corporation (www.ylc.yk.ca).

MacBride Museum offers an in-house bar service. Bartenders are charged at $22/hour for the duration of the event as well as one hour to setup and one hour for clean-up and storage. If the Museum is hosting the bar then the Museum will acquire the permit for a fee.
