February is Black History Month
This month the Hidden History Group is presenting a display in MacBride Museum’s Cultural Cabinet. The display focuses on African-American and African-Canadian contributions to building the Alaska Highway and the Canol Road. This display will run until the end of February.

Winter Games: An exhibit of historic photographs

To celebrate the snow, the ice and the cold, the MacBride Museum of Yukon History is exhibiting a series of photographs on Winter Games at the Hougen Heritage Gallery at Arts Underground (305 Main Street in downtown Whitehorse).
The show will run until the end of April.

Skate at the MacBride Museum
Tuesday - Saturday 12 - 2pm

The MacBride Museum has turned its outdoor historic courtyard into a small ice skating rink.
Skating is free. All skaters must sign a liability waiver before using the ice.
Baby Animals Preschool Program
Fridays 10 - 11am
$5 per child and caregiver
This program is designed for preschool-age children and parents to have fun at the Museum together. Explore the Wild World Gallery, play games and create works of art while learning about baby animals.

Kids Camps, March Break 2010
Week 1: The Mounted Police - Monday, March 8 - Friday, March 12
Week 2: Archaeology - Monday, March 15 - Friday, March 19
$125/week for members and $150/week for non-members
Each week-long camp is packed with fun and educational activities for young explorers. Camps run from 9am to 4pm each day. Campers should bring a lunch, two snacks, outdoor clothing and ice skates (Skating is optional).

To celebrate the installation of the Whitehorse Inn sign at the MacBride Museum this year, we are collecting your stories and memories of the Whitehorse Inn.
Share your stories of staying in the hotel, having dinner in the ballroom or drinks in the lounge.

Yukoner Days...
On the third Thursday of each month MacBride offers free admission to Yukoners with proof of residency. The next Yukoner Day will be February 18, 2010.
